Funding Awarded for ImplementationStrategy

The Sheldon Foundation recently awarded funding to the Chautauqua Lake and Watershed Management Alliance to prepare a five-year implementation strategy for the management of the lake and its watershed. The Alliance, with the assistance of its environmental consultant, Eco-Logic, is integrating existing plans and studies into a strategy that will help the Alliance staff and membership evaluate, prioritize and allocate funding for lake and watershed management initiatives. The Alliance conducted focus group meetings at the end of January 2018, and 35 stakeholder entities participated. The 5-year Implementation Strategy will be completed and publicly presented in May, 2018.
