$416,840 Workforce Readiness Grant awarded to JCC for Classroom Upgrades & Equipment

Historically, the Sheldon Foundation has supported building projects on JCC’s Jamestown Campus. This is the first time it has granted funds to purchase workforce training equipment for the advanced manufacturing fields of welding; machining; CNC; robotics, programmable logic controls; pneumatics; hydraulics; IT and electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. This specialty equipment will be portable, allowing the college to move it to one of its three campuses, or even to a manufacturing site to train employees. Expansion of JCC’s workforce training courses into these fields is in direct response to local manufacturing needs and the result of a comprehensive needs assessment report completed in 2021.
